Bruno Lage has spoken about Wolves striker Rafa Mir, amid ongoing speculation about a move to Atletico Madrid.
The Spaniard has just finished competing at the Tokyo Olympics with Spain, with whom he achieved a silver medal.

With that out of the way, the focus is now on his immediate future.
He has been tipped to leave the club and help make money for the club.
Lage has spoken of Mir for the first time since he took over, saying (via Shropshire Star): “It’s like when you have a marriage, you want to marry your wife but also your wife wants to marry you.

“I like him, I know him before, so we need to wait to see what happens. Top player, he’s doing well, I know he has a past in the club, like Cutrone.”
Last term, Mir banged in 16 goals across all competitions on loan at Huesca.
He proceeded to hit a hat-trick for Spain at the Olympics, which may have further boosted his transfer value.
Mir a sacrificial lamb?
It sounds like Lage does rate Mir.
But given he’s a player that really impressed last term, and again for Spain at the Olympics, his departure would be no surprise.

There’s been a lot of talk about Wolves needing to make player sales.
Lage has challenged Cutrone to prove himself at Molineux, which may well point towards Mir being sold.
